What is Gamma Emerald
What is Pokémon Gamma Emerald?
Pokémon Gamma Emerald is a standalone Windows game that remakes the classic 2004 Game Boy Advance RPG Pokémon Emerald in Unreal Engine 5. It is built from scratch - no ROM, no emulator, and no base game required. You just download it and play.
The remake keeps the same story, characters and events as the original Pokémon Emerald but adds real-time lighting, day and night cycles tied to the real-world clock, weather, following Pokemon, peer-to-peer trading, egg breeding and a fully rebuilt battle engine using Generation 6 formulas and the physical / special split.
The first Early Access build covers the Hoenn journey from Littleroot Town to Mauville City, including the Stone, Knuckle and Dynamo gym badges. Everything past Mauville is still in development and the developer will release the next chunk when it is ready.

UndreamedPanic is the programmer, artist, musician, designer, 3D modeler and UI designer for Gamma Emerald. Built with Unreal Engine 5, Visual Studio, Blender and Aseprite.
